Having a driver in Sri Lanka is a must, but having the right one makes all the difference! Ruwan was truly awesome and made our trip so much more enjoyable. We did reserve Ruwan months in advance for our 11 days trip in Sri Lanka, relying only on reviews on-line. Right from the get go (way before our arrival), he provided us with itinerary and activities suggestions, which were very helpful. We spent 8 days with Ruwan as our driver, and he really exceeded all of our expectations. The driving in Sri Linka is a bit chaotic from the outside, but Ruwan driving skills made the road very smooth for our entire trip (with his super clean vehicle). Not only was he always on time, but he always went over and above to make sure that we had everything we needed, like buying the train ticket for us and stopping at wine stores. His personal mix of discretion, kindness and willing to share his country history and culture when asked for (with really good English level), made us sad to leave him at the end of our journey. We could not recommend him more for anyone who is looking for a very good driver during an extended stay in Sri Lanka.
